GOSS Institute of Research Management was established in 2013. With a team of prominent academics and research specialists, GOSS Institute aims at exploring a new approach based on the Evidential Reasoning (ER) rule for improving effective decisions in the financial industry.

We conduct research on applying cutting-edge decision theories, e.g. Dempster-Shafer theory and the ER rule, to various fields such as stock trading and private equity investment. To promote the practical use of scientific theories in private equity, we have organized three biennale private equity forums since 2013 to encourage interactions between academia and the industry.

Since 2017, we have been transitioning from natural sciences to social sciences, extending these quantitative methods to the study of risks, policies, and international relations, holding seminars and forums on issues such as OBOR, the China-US and China-Japan relations, etc. We hope to encourage deeper conversations and stronger mutual understandings through our endeavors.

GOSS Institute has established partnerships with the Alliance Manchester Business School of University of Manchester, College of Business of City University of Hong Kong, Centre for Asian Pacific Studies of Lingnan University, Faculty of Social Science of University of Macao, AnTai Economic and Science Management School, and National University of Singapore RMI, etc.
